Benjamin Sargent, Jr.'s grave marker was the southern-most of four markers
in the row.  The other markers were for the Lauritsens, including Ben's aunt
Clotilda.  Benjamin's grave is at: 37 19.973 N  121 03.154 W  . Benjamin’s
grave is in the “Masonic subdivision” near the center of the cemetery.

(the other son of Benjamin and Alfonsa, Percy A. Sargent, is buried at Colma's Holy Cross Cemetery)

other family members at Hills Ferry Cemetery are given below

This row had the graves of Benjamin Sargent, Jr. and the three Lauritsens described
below.  From left to right (south to north): Benjamin, Rasmus, Clotilda and Louis.

Clotilda Lauritsen
nee: Clotilda Sasselli, a.k.a. Clotilda Gilardi, Tilly and Auntie
March 13, 1879 - January 4, 1938, born in Switzerland, probably Ticino Canton
.
Clotilda's grave is at: 37 19.974 N  121 03.154 W  Her grave is in the
“Masonic subdivision” near the center of the cemetery.

(Clotilda's photo is shown above with her sister Alfonsa and brother-in-law Benjamin, Sr.)

Rasmus Hansen Lauritsen
a.k.a. Robert H. Lauritsen
April 27, 1871 - January 24, 1941, born in Denmark
Rasmus' grave is adjacent to and just south of Clotilda's.

(need a photo of Rasmus)

Rasmus was Clotilda's second husband.  She married Rasmus when
she was 39 in about 1918.  Her first husband was John Gilardi.  The Clotilda-
John Gilardi marriage was brief but long enough to produce Tilly's three
children, including Elsie, listed below.  Apparently Rasmus broke his back while
tree trimming and spent years immobilized in bed.

Louis H. Lauritsen
a.k.a. Laurits H. Lauritsen (the H. is probably Hansen)
Jan. 1869 - 1924, born in Denmark
Louis' grave is adjacent to and just north of Clotilda's.  Louis was probably
the older brother of Rasmus.  Louis lived briefly early on in Newman, but then
spent many years away as a miner in Alaska and Washington.
